I apologize for my lack of blogging… This is not something that comes naturally to me! However, I would love to share something that has been on my heart recently!
After telling my friends and family about my plan to go on the World Race I have heard several responses–“WOW THAT’S SO COOL, I AM SO JEALOUS!” or “You don’t know anyone going?!” or “You have to raise how much money?!” or “Aren’t you scared to be away from your family and friends for a whole year?!” or “Aren’t you going to miss *insert American amenity here*?!”
I could not be happier with the support I have gotten from my friends and family! But the answer is…
Yes, I am scared that I don’t know anyone on my route (yet).
Yes, I am scared that I have to raise so much money.
Yes, I am scared to leave my friends and family for a year.
Yes, I am scared to not have my Diet Coke and trips to Target whenever I please.
BUT through all of these fears, there is a much bigger part of me that is excited and comforted for my choice to go on the World Race. God is extremely faithful! He has called me to leave my comfort zone, but is also providing me with comfort and support while I am there.
I am confident that God will not leave my side as I prepare for the World Race, and as I leave for the Race in July! I would be honored if you would prayerfully consider supporting me on my Race as well! If you have ANY questions, please do not hesitate to ask! I would love to chat 🙂
