This blog is long overdue, but here is a quick update about life:

I am currently at home in Nashville because I was diagnosed with a large kidney stone a few weeks back. I was told I had to get the stone surgical removed and that I couldn’t leave the country for at least 2 weeks after the surgery. This was on September 1st, and I was supposed to be ready to Launch with my squad September 5th. Needless to say I was worried about if or when I would be able to Launch with my squad on the race.

I had my surgery on Sept. 1st early in the morning and was home by the afternoon. The surgery went perfect and the recovery went great. It went so well I was even able to join my squad for Launch in Atlanta. (There will be a blog about that soon!)

As of now I am just waiting to hear what the doctor tells me at my follow-up appointment on the 16th. Depending on what the doctor says, I hope to join my team in Cambodia very soon and begin this awesome adventure with them! I will post an update when we figure out if/when I can travel to Cambodia this next week.

Thank you all for your love and support!

In God’s Love,

Emily
