So I know it has been a while since I have posted anything so I wanted to give you all an update on the past few months, beginning with Nepal.
Nepal was an amazing month. My team and I did a lot of evanglism in Nepal and we would travel around to different villages and share testimonies from our lives and tell people what the Lord had been teaching us lately. I grew a lot in my confidence with sharing about what the Lord had been teaching me and seeking Him in what I should talk about. We often did not know if we were going to be talking or who was going to be talking but the Lord was always faithful to provide a message for us to share to people. At the end of Nepal we had team changes. I was very nervous about being put on a new team, but the Lord knew what He was doing when He put my team together and He showed me once again that I can trust Him and that He knows what is best.
With my new team, traveled to India. India we had the opportunity to work with Jirah Children's Home. This is a home for either orphaned children or children from single parent households. There are 11 children at the home and we taught them English, Bible, and Music. The home is run by a married couple with two children of their own and one on the way. It was an incredible month. I love working with children and it was the first month that our ministry actually involved children and it was great. We also spent Christmas there and had an amazing time. I can't imagine a better place to be for Christmas if I could not be with my family. It was hard being away from home for Christmas but the Lord really gifted us with a ministry that was great and a family that welcomed us in as their own for the holidays.
Next we traveled to Tanzania. Tanzania was also a good month but not quite as exciting as Nepal and India. We did a lot of door to door evanglims during Tanzania which was great. I had not had much experience in door to door evanglism and so I was very nervous about it. The Lord was always faithful to use us to minister to people and that was great to see. I got to lead a couple people to the Lord in Tanzania as did others on my team as well. It was a wonderful reminder of how the Lord uses me even when I have no idea what to do or what to say. Tanzania I also got to spend a lot of time with children and being able to show the Lord's love to them which was also wonderful. On a fun note we also went on safari through the Serengeti which was awesome. We saw a lot of animals and I was really reminded of God's creativity and imgaination while we drove through.
Those have been the past 3 months for me now I am in Rwanda and here we are doing door to door evanglism and a lot of speaking. I will tell you more about that in my next blog which will be coming soon.
