Team Lumos as we set off on our four hour hike. I have come to appreciate how the World Race transforms your wardrobe of one of "do I look good?" to one of one of comfort.

We walked through places that blew my mind with beauty.

We climbed areas that made me say "we're going to climb THAT?"

When I saw the village waiting at the enterance to welcome us EVERYTHING changed. Every stream we waded through, every boulder we climbed, every ledge we fell down with our packs was worth it.

Nepali people have showed me humble hospitality through their actions.

This man came to know the Lord twenty years ago. He moved to the village of Khairang and began praying for God to send him someone who could teach him more about Scripture, since he cannot read. Three years ago the Lord answered his prayer through Pastor Upreti.

He graciously opened his home for us to rest before heading up the remainder of the mountain to get to the church.

This was our dining room table. Headlamps were our lighting.

The villagers made this leaf hut for the squatty right before we arrived to give us a little privacy.

Here in Nepal, little girls about her age are married off.

Preschoolers learning "Jesus Loves Me."

I called her Pebbles. She stole my heart.

This was our view every morning!

I got peed on by this chunk-a-munk. But who could get mad at those cheeks?

We stayed with Pastor Upreti and his family before heading back to Kathmandu. It was Aunti Minu's birthday and she gave us presents. I was blown away with gratitude!

And this little one told me that she wants me to take her home. Her mother disagreed 🙂
