I am well aware that I cannot raise $17,161 by myself. My stomach drops every time I look at that number, but I know that with God anything is possible. I may not be able to do it alone, but God can. After all, we aren’t called to live this life alone.
God calls us to be bold and to step out of our comfort zones. So I am doing just that, I want you to join me on this journey.
In August of 2016, I will be traveling to 11 countries in 11 months to minister to the “least of these.” While in the field, my team and I will be partnering with local churches and ministry programs to preach the Gospel. My life will vary greatly from month to month, we will have the opportunity to plant churches, love on orphans and widows, minister to women who are trapped in the sex trafficking industry, and just simply bring Christ’s love to those who need it most.

Fundraising isn’t the only way you can become a part of this ministry. Prayers and encouragement are huge gifts. Although I do not leave until August, I will be in need of your prayers and encouragement from the very beginning. The months that precede the race will be full of physical and spiritual preparation. While on the race we will be traveling a lot and building relationships with so many people. We will need prayers for safety, patience, and the boldness to share the Gospel with everyone we meet.

This trip is going to stretch me in ways that I didn’t know possible and in some cases it already has. I often have to remind myself that this is really happening. For 11 months I will be living out of a backpack spreading Christ’s amazing love. I am beyond excited to be the hands and feet of the Lord by feeding the hungry, healing the sick, and clothing the naked. It won’t always be easy, but I know following God’s calling will be worth it.
