My name is Emily Gates and I am so excited that the Lord has called me to this crazy adventure.
I was born and raised in Glen Allen, Virginia. I recently graduated from Longwood University with a degree in Elementary Education. Farmville, Virginia has brought so many friendships and memories into my life that I will cherish for the rest of my life, but I am so excited to begin the next chapter in my life.
Random facts? I love everything sports related. If you are a UVA fan or love the RedSox and Patriots, we will get along just fine. I love adventures and being outdoors. I have a heart for Haiti and the 28 orphans there that have become my family. I love a good book, fresh coffee, and sunsets. Ever since I started my relationship with the Lord, I have found joy in seeking happiness in the tiniest of moments.
My family is my world. My mom got remarried in August of 2014, and I now have a huge family. I live with my brother, step sister, and two step brothers. Although my life wasn’t always the easiest in this category, I am so blessed to have both my parents in my life.
