I have been in Africa for more then a month now and I am realizing just how blessed that I am.  Just for growing up in America, I am blessed.  I have freedoms and privileges that people around the world don’t have.  I have cloths on my back and a roof over my head.  I have an abundance of belongings that I don’t even know what to do with.

Walking down the street, I know that I stick out.  I am white and with my white skin comes a lot of assumptions from the locals.  Many will come up to me and I will say hi and in return they will ask for money.  It breaks my heart when I have to say no, knowing that if I dig something out for one, I will be swarmed with many people around me all begging for money.

Over half of the world lives on less then $2 a day.  Most of us back home have that just laying around the house.  As part of the body of Christ, those who have should freely give.  God has blessed each person with different gifts and resources and we are to share what we have with others around us to help further the kingdom of God.

Sometimes I wonder why that I have been so blessed and my brothers and sisters in Christ across the world are struggling to get by.  Even though I do not know why he choose me, He loves me for who I am and in return I am to live for Christ, sharing what I have been given with others.

Last week, I was able to go on a sarfai and I had a blast.  Got up close to zebras, baboons, rinos, flamingos, and many more animals.  Hope everyone is doing well back home. This month is going to bring more preaching.
