Be high on Christ, not drugs is a saying that I have been seeing as I drive into town.  As I have been thinking of this saying, I need to be aware of being High in Christ not just a couple of minutes here and there, but every single second of every single day.  I have to strive to be with my Savior and want to learn as much as I possibly can.

This past Saturday, I was able to go with a couple of the Awana leaders before Awana started. We were able to take some food and we visited some of the families of the students that attend Awana.  It broke my heart to see how hungry some of these families were but it brought me great joy when I could give them some food from “Kids Against Hunger”.

These families are so grateful for the little that they have and it just makes me hate how much Americans have and how they always want more because more or bigger is better. Beginning to understand how people live in other parts of the world make me better appriciate what I have and that I don’t always need the most expensive things.

After we visited the families of the children, we went back to the camp to get ready for Awana.  As I said in my last post, these children are hungry for the word and God’s love and I am so glad to be apart of it all.

Next month, my team will be at Cambodia Hope Organization (CHO), please be in prayer that God will prepare the way and that He will lay His hand of protection on us while we are there and while we travel there.  Also pray that my heart will be prepared for what God has to show me in Cambodia.
