God has completely blown me away with the way He is showing His perfect provision for this trip. Less than two months into fundraising, I have already raised $12,000! Praise the Lord! I cannot thank you all enough for the ways you have shown me your incredible support through your prayers and finances. I would not be here without you.
While I am well on my way to reaching my Adventures in Missions (AIM) goal of $16,200, I will have other expenses on top of this initial number. These expenses include vaccinations, gear, and travel to my World Race training in July and to/from the airport from which I will be launching in September. Because of these extra expenses, I have increased my total fundraising goal to $19,000.
I have until the end of this year to raise the $16,200 through AIM (after I reach this goal, all money donated through AIM – AKA this blog – will go to AIM’s general fund). After that, you will still be able to donate to me personally through my church’s website at http://www.weared3.com/give.html by selecting the “D3 Global Mission Fund (Emily Day Mission Trip)” from the “Fund” drop down menu (all donations are tax-deductible).
There are other ways you can help me out besides directly giving money. I have created an REI registry with some of the gear I will need for this journey. You can find this list by going to rei.com, clicking the “Gift Registry” tab at the top of the page, putting in my name, registry number: GR114179210 and event date: 6/20/15, and clicking the “find registry” button.
Thank you again for all the amazing ways you have shown me support already. I look forward to sharing this journey with you more and more each day! Please join me in praising the Lord for His faithfulness!
“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights with whom there is no variation or shadow due to change.” – James 1:17
