“It is what it is”
Recently, this phrase has been said all around me, and it caught my attention.
This phrase just irks me.
I don’t want to believe this phrase to be true. I don’t want to shrug my shoulders and say it and think that this is all there is. It seems to give no hope.
I don’t want this to be my mindset as well as other’s mindset.
Let’s turn it around and change that phrase or add to it that God is able.
Let us pray to Him who is capable of what seems impossible.
I understand why people say it – circumstances can be tough.
Life is rough.
But-
Let’s transition from “it is what it is,” to “What can be done about this situation?”
“How can I make a difference?”
We may ask, “Can I even help?” The answer is YES!
Let’s find hope in the Great Almighty, the God who is ABLE!
Let’s turn to Him for direction on what to do!
He is a God that allows us to be a piece of the story. He is faithful!
He has a plan!
