During training camp, one of my squadmates asked the question, “What color are you today? Why?” It may seem surprising, but the small group answered the question with all honesty and it was refreshing.
Do you know that color when there is a puddle in a parking lot that has a car’s oil in it and it has that mixed color? That is the color I felt like…meaning I had mixed emotions, feelings, and thoughts.
There was an internal battle of…not feeling good enough, to feeling good enough, to not feeling like I fit in, to okay this is where I fit, to judging others thinking that I’m not worthy to hang around them, etc.
All of which I know and knew at the time that they were all lies, but it is a struggle of mine.
This is a reoccurring struggle of mine, but fortunately for me I do know the love God has for me.
When I signed the covenant saying, “YES!” to God, our leadership, to my squad, I also said “YES!” to replacing the lies of not feeling good enough to “Abba, I belong to you!” Yes to community. Yes to being open with others on my team and squad. Yes to being me because God made me, unique in His image! <3
Throughout this time, God reminded me of 1 Corinthians 12:12-31, which gave me reassurance of God’s love for me and each of us and how each person’s part MATTERS!

All of us are so unique because of the love the Lord has for us. He made us good and unique. Let us be reminded that God made you, you and me, me all UNIQUE in HIS IMAGE! How privileged we are!
