I often get asked the question…
Are you worried if fill in the blank will happen?
*Gasp*
Well, yes I am. Who wouldn’t be?
Recently, I went to the travel clinic and talked with the doctor about all the things that could happen while I am overseas.
While talking with her, I was doing just fine. I asked clarifying questions, and asked her recommendations for vaccinations, medicines, etc.
When I left the clinic and got into my car, I had a minor freak out time with my mind racing and heart beating. I was completely overwhelmed by it all. Thoughts came racing through my mind of —
What have I gotten myself into? -What if something does happen? -Who is going to take care of me? -If I were to get sick or hurt, I’ll want my mom, but she’ll be far away. -What if I get lost? -What if, what if, what if? WHAT IF?
At that moment, God met me there…
He told me to BREATHE!
He reminds me that He is there always, He will never leave me or forsake me. “He alone is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.” {Psalm 61:6}
He knows what will happen.
He gives me peace. “Find rest, O my soul, in God alone; my hope comes from Him.” {Psalm 61:5}
Who am I to worry about tomorrow?
God has a plan for this crazy journey called the World Race.
I could live in the land of the what ifs.
OR–
Let us instead trust in God with our whole hearts.
God is…
Bigger
Greater
Creator
the Beginning and the End
He gives me breath
-LIFE
He is life!
Things could happen anywhere I will go.
God has given me the heart, the passion, and the call to reach the oppressed populations through going on the World Race.
It may be extremely difficult at times to see the brokenness and the hurt in the world, but I pray for God to give my teammates and I eyes that see the brokenness, but also the heart to share the LOVE and HOPE that we have in Jesus.
The thing is God is always there, but we often get caught up in our own thoughts and mind.
I pray for each of us to ask for God to clear our minds of the clutter and focus on Him to deepen our relationships with Him.
Please pray with me, for my team and I as we prepare and embark on the World Race for God to meet us there, and for safety and protection.
