CHANGES! When our squad arrived in Uganda at the beginning of the month, we
were informed we were switching again! I’m fortunate to still have Tanna as a leader, as well as
most of the girls on my former team. Alycia was moved, which has
been really hard! She is GREATLY missed! We now have 3 new members, including
two guys! One of my best friends on the race, Lauren Sims, a beautiful Georgia
girl, has been added to our team. As well as, Jake Kennedy (also from GA) and
Caleb Dufresne! I’m really
excited about the new members! We have a little less than 4 months together and
I know God has amazing plans for this group! You can access my new teammates
blogs to the left of this page.

morning to head to Hoima, about a 3-hour bus ride. Once we arrived we met our
new contacts for the month and boarded another bus to head about 2+ hours to a
smaller town for a week. Uganda has already surprised me… I kinda expected it
to be the most rural African country we went to. It actually seems to be the
nicest so far that I’ve seen! We came a day early and got to raft the Nile
River, which was a blast! It’s simply beautiful… this country is so green. It’s
also about 10+ degrees warmer, so I’m soaking in the sunshine before we head to
colder climates!

This month all of our teams are
working with the Anglican Church in Bugolobi. They have split us up in smaller
villages all over Uganda. We will be doing a lot of door-to-door evangelism,
working at schools, and helping with some revivals, hospital ministry, and
preaching. At the end of the month our squad will come back together in Kampala
to work at a large conference at a local college. I can’t believe we only have
3 more weeks in Africa…Time is flying by, which is ironic, because “Africa
time” can also pass by so slowly! I’m anxious to see what the Lord has in store
for this month. If Internet is better here, I will try to keep you more
informed on what we are doing!
God Bless and I love & miss you
all…
