Where
do I start…? There has been quite a bit of change since I last wrote you! For
starters, we had another route change and they decided to send us to Malaysia!
So…that’s where I am currently! It is so much different here from the
Philippines! We flew into Kuala Lumpur, the capitol city. The city is very
westernized and looks just like any other large American city. I caught a quick
glimpse at the twin towers as my bus was taking me from the airport to the
train station!

This
month my team is serving in a town called Sungai Petani, Kedah, about 4 hours
from Kuala Lumpur. We are staying with an Indian pastor’s family. Our ministry
this month will consist of a quite a few different things. Since we’ve been
here we have done a few prayer walks around town, visited sick people in the
hospital, fellowshipped at a children’s home, and preached at numerous church
services. It is interesting to see how the culture here is so different from
the Philippines. The majority of the people I have seen are Hindu and Muslim, I
almost feel like I’m in India. The people seem more standoffish, but we are
working to develop a rapport with the people.

My
next piece of big news is…I have a totally new team! Before we switched
countries, quite a few changes were made to our squad! At the end of this
month, our current squad leaders go home and two of our team leaders step up
into that position. Our new squad leaders are going to be Krissy Whaley and
Austin Robertson. I am so happy for them and I know that they will do an
amazing job leading this squad the remaining 7 months! In addition, many of the
teams were rearranged… My team was split up 4 different ways! At first, I was
having a really hard time with the change. It has been an adjustment for all of
us… After living night and day with the same people for 3 months, we have
really grown to become family. I wasn’t too excited about starting over with
new group of people. After a few days of processing everything, God has really
worked on my heart and revealed a verse to me that instantly gave me peace!

“…God is greater than
our feelings…” — 1 John 3:20

I
know that no matter what, He has my back! He hasn’t failed me yet and He is not
going to start now. I know that He promises to take care of all of my needs.
Change can be a good thing and an opportunity for greater transformation and
growth, so I’m keeping my head up and excited about the possibilities for this
new team…

So…I’m
sure you want to meet the new group! Tanna is still my team leader, so that is
a real blessing, but the rest of the team is new! We are one of the two all
girls teams!
