(Journal Entry 7/16/2012 :: Day 3 of WR Training Camp)
I got back from camp in Georgia on Sunday. This past week has not been easy to process and I have struggled knowing how to put this experience into words. So, here I go trying to describe the indescribable.
Upon arriving at camp, I began to ask myself :: "what the HECK am I doing here?" I questioned if I should turn back. Knowing no one. Puddles in my tent after a massive downpour. I was already completely out of my comfort zone and frightened of this journey that God is calling me too. It was at the first night of training camp that this thing called "The World Race" started to become reality.
11 Countries. 11 Months.
REALITY.
It didn't take long for me to feel the goodness of God's presence wash over me. To purify me. Just as my journal entry speaks, it only took a day or two for me to grasp God's peace that I am exactly where He wants me to be.
He wants me to be ::
uncomfortable.
Uncomfortable. So that I would stop relying on my strength and begin to rely on His. So that I would remember that I am not my own, but am a daughter of a Mighty King.
Uncomfortable. So that my identity might not come from the world but from an everlasting God.
It was in the comfort of sleeping in a bus. Or eating foreign food. Or, simply asking for prayer.
It was in these things that God began to show up. He began to remind me that He is my strength. That He is my provider. And most importantly, that He is my first love.
I realized at camp that I am so weak. But in my weakness, God is my strength. I learned what it means to hear God's voice and speak boldly the promises He gives.
Training Camp has changed me. And this is just the beginning of this crazy adventure called The World Race.
I am open and surrendered to what God wants to do in and through me. And I can't wait to do it alongside my brothers and sisters in Christ.
So, let me be the first to introduce you to…. L SQUAD!

I will travel the world with this incredible group of people. I am blessed to call them my brothers and sisters.
Among this group of people — I would like to introduce you to my team. There are 9 teams within our squad. When we arrive at a nation, the teams of L Squad will disperse throughout the country to serve in different capacities.
I am blessed to introduce my incredible World Race team ::

(From left to right :: Jason, Tess, Christin, [Our Waitor Tony], Moriah (Team Leader), Me, Carly and Noah)
Team "Sweet Aroma", from 2 Corinthians 2:14-17. This team desperately desires to be the "sweet aroma" of Jesus Christ to the nations.
2 Cor. 2:14

Please keep our squad and this team in your prayers as we go out to serve the nations in Jesus' name.
I'm still in need of financial support. If you feel lead to give, click on the "Support Me" button at the left hand said of my page. This is not possible without people like you! Thank you!
