In T-8 hours we are leaving for Malaysia! BUT… before we leave, I wanted to give you a glimpse of what a typical day looked like in THAILAND!

We were working in northern Thailand just outisde a small town in the mountains.

We worked with a sex-traffic prevention ministry that goes into the hill tribe villages in Northern Thailand and resuces girls (and now, boys) that are at high-risk in being sold into the sex trade. These children come from very challenging backgrounds and are in need of life, hope and love.

I woke up in the morning, to the chilly mountain air. It was actually cold! What a concept?
In the morning, it was time for some good, solid time with Jesus while drinking the good ol' 3 in 1 instant coffee. Uncle Bud, our incredible ministry contact always prepared us an incredible breakfast of buttermilk pancakes, homemade cinammon rolls or bisquits and gravy. He blessed us greatly with his passion to serve us his incredible homecooked meals!

The land we lived on

After breakfast, it was time to hit the land. The ministry has a new, beautiful piece of property where eventually all of the children's homes will be located. We cleared forests, creating massive bon fires and poured concrete while communicating with our Thai construction workers in only sign language. Not an ounce of English was ever spoken!

They LOVED to take care of me though, and were constantly worried that I was overheating and would make me go sit on a tiny stool in the shade.

Construction on the new land!

After a few hours of work, we would head to a local street-side "restaurant" for a traditional Thai lunch. Mmmmm…. I'm gonna miss good ol' Thai food.

It's back to work in the afternoon and then rest up to welcome the girls home from school!

Time with the girls! These were my girls this month, beautiful sisters from a hill tribe village

Dinner with them, team time and then bed.

It's a great day in the mountains of Thailand. Fresh air, countless smiles and good company does the heart good afer living in the slums of The Philippines! We even had plenty of space to lose our selves from the crowd to meet with Jesus. A breath of fresh air!

Thanks for the constant prayer and support!
