Dear Friends and Family,

As you probably know, I am gearing up to travel the world beginning in September with The World Race! In fact, I got back from World Race Training Camp in Georgia just a few days ago.

Training Camp was quite the experience and the beginning of a crazy adventure. I am continually humbled and so grateful that God has brought me to this journey of serving 11 countries in 11 months. I feel completely inadequate and overwhelmed — but, this is where the Lord becomes my strength.

Throughout camp, World Racers were stretched to the limit: physically, emotionally and spiritually. With not much sleep, foreign food and sometimes, rigorous exercise — our bodies were physically exhausted. We slept in small spaces (in very close proximity with others), were challenged to be vulnerable with one another and with God. My faith began to stretch as my physical, emotional and spritual "limitations" were tested. Though, during the first night at camp, I wondered why I was going on this adventure — I received my answer just 24 hours later.

I felt an indescribable peace that this is exactly where God wants me to be.

At camp, I began to realize the beauty of the Gospel once again. I was reminded of the importance of community. And most importantly, I  began to realize my identity in Jesus Christ. That I am a daughter of the mosth high King. And He is calling me to serve the nations in His name. Wow.

At camp, I was introduced to my new family for the next year. I am honored to be apart of the incredible L Squad! There are 62 of us that will travel the world together. Within this squad there are nine teams. Each team will serve in different capacties throughout each nation. Let me introduce you to my beautiful team :: Sweet Aroma (2 Corinthians 2:14).

I am blessed to call this team my family for the next year. I cannot wait to see what God does in and through us!

I am continually in need of a lot of prayer and financial support. I am quickly approaching my next deadline of $6,500 of which I must have in order to leave in September. Including my next deadline, I still have approximately $10,000 to raise for the rest of my trip. Please prayerfully consider supporting this adventure to serve the nations in Jesus' name. If you feel lead to support me, please visit my blog at :: emilychant.theworldrace.org. On the left hand side, click on the "Support Me" button. Please be mindful that it often takes 3-5 days for an online transaction to process, in order for me to reach my deadline, donations should be made by August 10th. If you would rather send a check, please get in touch with me.

Thank you for your continual support and love. A trip of this magnitude is not possible without you! Feel free to email me at :: [email protected].

In Him,

Emily Chant

"But thank God! He has made us His captives and continues to lead us along in Christ's triumphal procession. Now He uses us to spread the knowledge of Christ everywhere, like a sweet perfume."
