The story begins as Jesus teaches the Pharisees and teachers of the law that have come from every village of Galilee and Judea.
Jesus, anointed with the Holy Spirit, held the power upon Him to teach and perform healing.
Some men were carrying a paralyzed man on a mat – trying to bring him to the feet of Jesus for healing. But, the crowd was too large, so they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles, into the very middle of the crowd, so that this broken man could be at the feet of Jesus.
Of course, Jesus heals this man – not only from his physical ailment but spiritually too. Jesus cleanses this man of his sins.
I cannot get over the power of this story, though I have heard it countless times.
Am I THAT thirsty for Jesus that I would plow through the crowds (of many religious leaders) – and than, break through a building just to get to the feet of Jesus?
Am I willing to fight to get to the feet of Jesus, just like these men fought to be at Jesus’ holy feet?
Jesus wants us to fight through the distractions of this world so that we may sit at His feet.
We have finished our ministry in Guatemala and are now in Antigua for debrief. During worship last night, all I could see in my mind was me, shoving through the crowd and breaking though buildings to get to the feet of Jesus.
I desperately desire to be at the feet of Jesus.
I’m sick of the distractions of this world that are keeping me from a deeper intimacy with Him.
We have to fight.
Yes, Jesus fights for us too.
But, we too, must fight.
And it’s not going to be easy,
but it will be worth it.
[Are you willing?]
Watch this video. Let it change you.
I'm fighting for Jesus as He pulls me closer to Himself.
It's messy but beautiful.
Will you fight too?
