They say a picture is worth 1,000 words, so here is 16,000 words about our girls getaway weekend to Phi Phi Island right off the coast of Phuket, Thailand! It was a much needed break from ministry and mini-vacation from the Race.
After a 2 hour ferry ride to the island, it was time to hit the pool!
Clearly, we don't have any fun together…
Early afternoon, we hopped aboard our boat for our sea kayaking/snorkeling tour.
First stop, Monkey Island where they would eat right out of your hands!
They were so close!
Next stop, snorkeling! Not to worry, I am aware you're suppose to keep the snorkel above water.
Good news! We found Nemo!

After our tour, we cleaned up and headed out to celebrate Lindsay's birthday.
My Wisconsin buddy Lauren ended up leading worship at a hippie bar on the beach…

After catching a few ZZZZs, I woke up to take in some of God's beautiful creation.
We spent the morning soaking up some rays by the beach and the pool.
We baptized my teammate Lindsay.
We ate some delicious Pad Thai and headed back home after a wonderful weekend.
My thought after this weekend: if Earth is this beautiful, what's Heaven going to look like?!
