God told us to sit.  Actually, God told me to follow, and told my leader to sit, so we sat.  And we waited…

And waited…

And waited…

We sat on a bench in the middle of a mall, in who knows what small town in Ireland, just waiting.

And as we waited, we kept seeing fathers with their children come and sit with us.  Fathers out spending time with their children, coming to sit down and rest together for a few minutes.  Or children sitting down, waiting for their father to come meet up with them.

About 30 minutes into sitting, I felt like God was saying that this bench we were on was where children came to spend time with their dads.  Or to wait for their dads.  I mentioned this to my leader, Matt.  He said he was waiting.  I said I was spending time.

And so we sat some more.

About another 30 minutes later, Matt felt God tell him we were waiting for someone.  A woman wearing green would come and sit down on the bench, and God wanted us to talk to her.

And so we waited some more.

Once we heard this, it seemed like everyone was wearing green.  But no one sat down.  And so we waited.

Finally, another 15 minutes later, a woman wearing green comes, and eventually sits with her children.  We start talking to her, and she tells us about her children, and her husband, and her life a little.  We got tell her about our lives too.  And we got to find out how to be praying for her and her family.

Sometimes, our timing doesn’t match with God’s timing.  Believe me, spending an hour and a half on a bench was not what I had in mind for the day.  But, it ended up being a beautiful time with my Daddy.

Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Psalm 27:14

Our time in Ireland has been wonderful.  We’ve gotten to talk to lots of people, seen 5 new sisters come to Christ, and all of this happening while in some of the most beautiful places I’ve ever seen.

Thanks so much to everyone who has been praying for me and supporting me financially.  As of right now I still need $4,825 to be fully funded!  I can’t tell you how blessed I feel from all of the support given by you all.  Thanks again!
