Decisions. Over the jagged course of a lifetime, the haphazard choices I’ve made are not always the ones to write home about. Licking the sap soaked oak tree in the first grade? Not the best decision. While amusing to some, my social awkwardness began at far too young an age. Branding myself with a permanent marking that has neither symbolence nor beauty? Yep, not the best decision either. Mom and Dad enjoyed that one as much as I enjoyed my last visit to the Dentist. Dying my naturally dark locks a thick coat of fiery red? Certainly not the best decision I’ve ever made.
Despite some not so good judgments made in my past, there is one decision I neither regret nor deny. I decided to go. I decided to chose the path less taken. To walk in obedience to my calling. To find undeniable beauty in the sweet, decedent gift of freedom. I decided to abandon my expectations for the favor of the Lord. I decided to go. What will you decide?
