Our time in Santa Maria has come to an end. On Friday, Casey, Morgan, and I walked down to the market. We were really able to see how God had used us in the village. We remembered back to the first days we were there and how the people were very hesitant about us, but on Friday as we walked through the hills of Santa Maria, we were greeted with many smiles and “Buenos Dias!” It was fun as we walked through the market to see people we have met at church or in the village. We were able to recognize kids, call them by name, and give them a high five or a hug. God has really softened the village of Santa Maria since we have been there. There are three churches in their community, but only their family attends the churches. It is our prayer that they will develop a heart for their community. They will reach out to people and families not involved in a church and just love each other!
