For those of you that just read my previous blog, you’re probably wondering what work we actually did in
Buenos Aires.
As I mentioned before, our contact, Mariah is a teacher at Buenos Aires International Christian Academy (BAICA).
Check out their website at
http://www.baica.com
On Friday, we met Mariah at the school.
She gave us a tour of their new school.
The school just moved into an old car dealership building.
She explained how the school had been started and its vision.
We met the 6 children in her class then headed down to the main area to set up assembly for the kids.
The school consists of Pre-k through 12th grade.
We presented a program about the World Race.
We wanted to show some videos, but due to some technological difficulties we told stories and acted out a drama.
It went well anyways.
Then yesterday, Spano, Candice, and I helped out at the school.
We moved whiteboards, desks, chairs, huge cabinets, and lots and lots of books!
Below are some pictures of all the boxes of library books that Spano, Candice, and I moved.
It was a simple task, but tedious for the people that work there.
It was nice to be able to lighten their load a little bit.
