So, some people of the church have allowed us to stay in their home for the month.  We are living on the 3rd floor and there is a family that lives on the first floor.  On Friday, it was their son, Daniel’s, 9th birthday and we were all invited.  The World Racers were planning to have a superhero party because we had 3 birthdays in a row and he was invited as well.  He showed up dressed in an army costume for the party, but sadly we cancelled the party because of many people being sick so we ended up just going to their house for the party.  It was interesting.  I was one of he first people there and mingled with the family.  They had Hillsong blasting in the house throughout the whole party.  First, they served us this purple corn drink that is a Peruvian drink here.  I struggled to drink it.  Then, we had this really yummy pudding cake.  We had just eaten dinner so many of us were expecting this to be the last of the food.  Oh no…next came a class of Inka Cola soda, then popcorn, then a glass of orange soda, then jello, then a glass of orange soda, then potatoes and eggs, then brown soda, then a huge piece of chocolate cake.  The food kept coming and coming.  In the meantime, they wanted us Americans to dance.  Aft first, it was only us and the kids dancing as all the adults watched and laughed, but soon everyone joined in.  We gave him our gifts.  I rounded up a small present from what I had with me.  Daniel was all smiles all night and appeared to have a wonderful birthday.  I am so glad that we could be a part of it!
