We have had an amazing last 3 days here in

Michigan.
It has been beautiful out, the sun has been out.
As I left my house today a song came into my head that I know I used to sing when I was little and was in Awana Cubbies.
I think we used to sing it before we were allowed to have snack.
 The song goes:

God is so good.

God is so good.

God is so good to me.

As I remembered that song, I know that it has been true in my life.
During this Thanksgiving season, I haven been blessed!
I feel that thanksgiving is a time of reflection to identify what we are grateful for.
I am definitely thankful for my family and their love and support.
  I am thankful for friends!
I am thankful for tangible items such as our house, food, cars, heat, etc but above all of those things I am thankful for Christ.
I am thankful that He died on the cross for me and has saved me from my sins that I might live an eternal life with Him.
I am thankful that I am considered one of His children.
I am thankful for the truths that God believes about me and that He has given me power over Satan.
I am thankful that God has sent his Holy Spirit to guide us, direct us, and convict us.
Last week, our pastor challenged us to think beyond the normal things we are thankful for and really focus on the things that are eternal.
He challenged us to think about the things that Jesus might have been thankful for.
I think this puts Thanksgiving in a new perspective, challenging us to truly look at our lives and what is most important!
