Today was our last day in Bangkok. I had plans to use the internet, organize/pack my stuff, you know, be productive. Well, I got persuaded into going to visit the Ancient City instead. We got kind of lost going there and took some extra time, but we made it. With the price of our tickets, we were able to rent tandem bikes. We tried the three-person bike (what do you call a 3-person bike anyways?) just for the pictures.

The Ancient City is a smaller scale version of Thailand. It has replicated many of the important temples, places, etc in Thailand. Here’s Eric and Jon fitting in with the statues.

Candice and I tried to look like the snakes. I don’t think it worked so well.

A sweet purple bridge.

So, many times this year, people, especially Asians, come up to us and ask to take pictures with us. We were mobbed by a group of about 15 Thai women. They grabbed Candice and soon we were all in their pictures. Next, they wanted individual pictures. Before I knew it, I had this Thai woman nuzzling her nose on my cheek. It was hilarious! She took the picture on off they went. Oh, my life these days!

Me, Jon, Candice, and Eric on top of the mountain.

So, now it is 11:30pm at night and I’m at the internet place trying to get done what I wanted to this morning, but it was a very fun day. We’re leaving for china tomorrow at noon.
