On Wednesday, we took another long bus ride to the Cu Chi tunnels.  This was where the Vietnamese dug tunnels underground to hid from enemies and to be protected from their enemies.  Our tour guide had been in the Vietnam War and was obviously still hurting from it because he was very upset and foul.  It was quite the interesting tour.  I think he might need a different job.

They showed us a hole where snipers hid.  Annie was able to fit inside.

Then, at the end, we got to go through the tunnels.  It was a tight squeeze.

Later that night, we went to a Vietnamese Water Puppet Show.  We were told you haven’t experienced Vietnam unless you go to a show, so we did.  It was obviously corny, but entertaining and nothing I’ve seen before.

Finally, to finish off our last morning and experience culture, Candice, Spano, Morgan, and I took cyclo rides to the Saigon River.

And sometimes, we get a little bored on the bus rides…

We have one more week of ministry with HEC then it is off to China!
