First of all, thank you so much for being here and for your interest in partnering with me on the World Race! I want you to know that I am committed to updating my ministry partners with the work I am doing before, during, and after the Race. I believe you have the right to know how your donations and prayers are affecting people all around the world. Also, you should know that I will be working up until launch in January 2019 and contributing from my savings toward this trip. I believe in this missions trip and will make sacrifices alongside you to make it a reality.
That being said, this post is intended to answer your questions about the logistics of donating to my World Race missions trip through Adventures in Missions, a nonprofit missions organization based in Gainesville, GA.
How to donate: Donations may be made by check, money order, credit card, bank transfer, or through a monthly electronic funds transfer (Dynapay).
To donate by check or money order, make sure they are made payable to Adventures in Missions with my name in the memo line. Mail to: Adventures in Missions, PO Box 742570, Atlanta, GA 30374-2570. Please note that AIM does not accept cash donations through the mail.
To donate by credit card or bank transfer, click on the “Donate!” link on the support bar or the left-hand menu of my blog (emilieblomberg.theworldrace.org), and you will be directed through the process of making a one-time, monthly, or quarterly gift by credit card or bank transfer.
To donate through an electronic funds transfer (Dynapay), go to adventures.org/dynapay to fill out an online form for a monthly Electronic Funds Transfer from a checking account. No transaction fee will be charged for donations made through EFT.
Tax-deductible: Your donations are tax-deductible. If your chosen giving method is through the postal mail, you will receive an acknowledgement via standard U.S. mail approximately two weeks after your gift is received. For gifts online via credit/debit card or eCheck, you will receive an electronic acknowledgement as soon as your donation is made.
Donors will also receive calendar year-end tax receipts documenting such gifts as deductible contributions for income tax purposes in the United States. Each donor is advised to consult his or her personal income tax advisor for the applicability of such contributions in his or her own circumstances.
Non-refundable: As a non-profit 501(c) (3) organization, the IRS regulations require that all tax-deductible contributions must be irrevocable and that any such organization must demonstrate full discretion and control of the donations. Therefore, donations can not be refunded or transferred after they are made.
Secure giving: Adventures in Missions and the World Race websites use Rapid SSL and encrypt your information for security purposes.
Privacy of information: Adventures in Missions does not share your personal information with any other organizations. Their website and database are on secure sites, and they take care to protect your privacy.
Fundraising status: If you’re watching for your donation to show up in the support bar on my blog, please note that it can take up to 7-10 business days for donations to process and register.
Thank you again for partnering with me on this journey. May God bless you for your giving heart. Have other questions about donating? Comment on this post or send me an email: [email protected]
