Divine Interventions.

Some believe don’t believe in them.

Some say they are mere coincidences.

I say they are encounters orchestrated by the creator.

Today was filled with them.

Oh where to even begin.

This morning as a squad we went to a local high school soccer game at Faith Academy.  One of the athletes was the grand daughter of my co-teachers in Taiwan. Yes I introduced myself and took a picture like a giddy child at Disney World, but I do love the song “its a small world after all”.

Later on in the day I was wondering around town with some teammates and Jake and I were taken into a long twisted ally way by a man named Donna who kept telling us how much he loved us (over and over and over)! Yes this sort of situation may make some people cringe, but I had the feeling that in this moment God was gonna do something so cool. Like always He did. While the rest of our team was slightly freaking out because they could not find us in the ally , this man started to lead us into poverty that I can’t quite describe. Yet during thing chaos we started to discuss John 3:16. As I approached his house, now realizing that Donna was a believer it was awesome to see “Love God, Love All” painted on his door.  We were invited to sit inside his house with his wife and six children. Tears came to my eyes with the hospitality given to me by a man who clearly had nothing.  Being able to pray and converse with this family truly made me beam. I am pretty sure he is going to come to our church tomorrow, YAY!  As Jacob and I exited the man pranced with us through town introducing people to us and having us snap photos like they were about to expire.

Thinking my day was perfect, God had to remind me that His plans are always better.  I had the opportunity to travel to China town in the night and sit in the midst of my passion. There were Chinese teachers that came to the Philippines from China and I was able teach them English and Bible. This brought back so many amazing memories from Taiwan.  The day was topped off by being able able to share the gospel with a student  🙂

In the middle of this awesome time, God allowed me to be introduced with an IJM worker (International Justice Mission- if you have not heard of them check them out because I am obsessed with these people and have been wanting to bump into them for a while).  There was also a person there connected to Word of Life Philippines.  So yeah… God rocked my world today by bringing parts of my past to my present random state. I feel like I have been created to be a net worker and connect places and people, and oh how it brings me joy!

All of these encounters really got me thinking about how the disciples were networkers themselves.  They took all that  Jesus had taught them when He was on earth, and they connected it to the lives of the people around them and created Ministry.  AHHHHHHH I love how Jesus works! I know what he is calling of me and for all of us when He is saying “Go therefore and make disciples” Matt 28.

Thanking Him tonight, can’t wait for more of Him to come!
