You know those posters….
But seriously, I need your help.
I hate admitting that I need help. Instead of asking for help, I would much rather (and sometimes do) sacrifice sleep and health to get things done. I have often taken pride in my independence. And I know pride is sinful but I’m also starting to realize that my drive to be independent isn’t Biblical either. God made me for relationship and community not isolation and independence.
So how can you help?
Pray
This is by far the most important thing you can do. There is a spiritual battle going on all around us and we need others to fight with us in prayer. Here’s a list of things to pray for:
- Relationships – both those that will be made and those that I am leaving behind for the time being
- Health – spiritually, emotionally, and physically
- Safety
- Travel – I’ll cover a lot of ground over the next 11 months
- My family – It is going to be a journey for them too
- The ministry hosts I’ll be working with
- The people I’ll be ministering to
- My fellow Csters
- Funding
- The countries that I’ll be in
This is by no means an exhaustive list but hopefully it gives you a start. Also, please let me return the favor. I want to be able to pray for those who are praying for me. If you have a prayer request, please contact me and let me know.

As of right now, I have raised 48.9% of the total amount needed to be fully funded. In order to launch, I need $10,000 or 55.5% funding. I’ll be honest, there are days when I wonder how God could possibly provide. It seems like such a large amount in a pretty short time. But I know that God is faithful. So I remind myself that He has already brought in money from some of the most unexpected sources.
I will be holding two more fundraisers before I leave. On Saturday, September 23, I will be having a bake sale. Then on the following Saturday (9/30), I will have a yard sale.
Ask me Questions
I would like to have a blog post answering your questions but first I need to know what your questions are. If you have a question about what the World Race is or why I decided to go on it, please click “contact”� and send it in. You can also send me questions during the race and from time to time I will have create blogs to answer them. Also, I’m just going to tell you this now, when I get back if you say, “tell me about your trip.”� I will have absolutely no idea where to start. So think of specific questions you have and hopefully it’ll be easier for both of us.
