Grant me strength to run with endurance the path that You have set before me. Give me wisdom and discernment to know Your will. My whole being cries out Your praise. Be lifted high, O God, enthroned on the praises of Your people. May their lives be a sweet melody to Your ears; a lovely incense to You. Thank You for the testimonies that You give Your people – testimonies of Your faithful love and grace. Through them and the precious blood of Your Son the enemy is defeated. Not will be but is already!
Father, mold my heart to be of service to You. When the journey is long and the lessons I’m learning are hard, I choose to believe that You are good. Although I don’t see or understand Your purpose, I trust the story. But more than that, I trust the Author. You have not failed and Your promises remain. I surrender again to Your will. Use my life however You desire. I care not. If by living, my life brings you glory, then strengthen me to live as I ought. If more glory is to be gained by my death, then may those who remain carry on the standard of Your Name. In every word – spoken or thought – be lifted high, O God. Do not let my steps wander and so bring dishonor to Your great and holy Name. Shine brightly, O God. May my own self be eclipsed by the image of Christ so that I am no longer visible but Christ and Christ alone is seen. Guard my mouth and guide me in the way of life lest my pride cause another to stumble. Show me what it means to live a life wholly devoted to You.
God, You are the Faithful One. Your promise still stands. Even when I turn my back on You, You still reach out to me. When I call upon Your Name, You, O Lord, always answer. You welcome me back with open arms. I will rejoice in the salvation of my God. He has redeemed me and brought me to a good place. When trials come, I will remember His faithfulness to me. How He led me faithfully in paths of righteousness; He kept my feet from evil. In the times of waiting, I trust I His unfailing love. The Lord never fails. Every word that He speaks comes to fulfillment. In the darkest night, I will proclaim the praises of my God. My heart knows the goodness of my Father. Therefore, I will not fear.
In the quiet moments of waiting, when all is silent and no one seems to hear my cry, I will still choose to trust. God is faithful and good. The pages of history tell of His greatness and love. Who else is like Him? What other God goes to such lengths to redeem a people who continues to despise Him? I choose to believe and trust. I do not need more intellectual knowledge. I need the experiential knowledge that comes through faith and is proven through testing. Thank You for Your patience and kindness. May every trial cause me to look more to You – to rely less on my own wisdom and strength – choosing instead to cast all my hope upon the Rock of the Ages for He who was, is, and is to come, unchanging from beginning to end is able to do far more than I could ever think to ask for.
Show me any place where I am chasing other gods besides You. Be gracious to me and point out my failings in mercy not wrath. Reveal to me how to cleanse myself of anything that isn’t from You. Mold me into the image of Christ that I may better reveal Your glory. May I live in Your presence filled with Your peace all the days of my life. I want to honor You in all that I do. Keep me in the path of righteousness that I may reveal Your power and might. Lead me in truth that I may learn faithfulness. May I be able to see Your promises revealed. I do not want to see Your glory from afar. Bring me into Your holy presence, Lord. Cleanse me from all sin and renew my spirit. I do not want to miss out on Your promises because of sin. Thank You for showing me where sin dwells in my life and how to deal with it. Keep my heart ever soft to You. Thank You for allowing me to hear Your voice so clearly in so many different ways. Even in times of darkness, I know that you are good and faithful. I will wait in the shelter of Your wings. I trust You for You are God and You do not fail. You are my Rock in the day of trouble. I will call to You for I know that You hear and answer those whom You love. I am loved by You!
