Is Prayer enough?
What if we go into a city and God just asks us to pray, is that enough? Are we ok with plowing the fields with prayer and not see fruit?
That is what Sri Lanka has been for us, the oppression is heavy, we didn’t catch on right away and were wondering why there are things we are struggling with as a team that we shouldn’t be or thought we had already dealt with.
When we realized it was spiritual warfare we were dealing with we started fighting differently with alot of intercession, and realized that prayer is what was important for us here in this city.
Yes we were able to make friends and pray for people, we wrote notes and handed out homemade cookies. It was always fun to watch people’s expression when we told them we were staying for more then just 2 or 3 days (which is the norm for this little tourist town called Ella). But our main mission was prayer.
One of my favorite times of prayer was when we walked up a small mountain and had a time of worship over the city. I literally could feel heaven being pulled down because of our presence there! And if all we did was pray I am completely ok with that, because prayer is one of the most powerful tools we as believers have!
