Bulgaria…

We entered Bulgaria, fresh new start with a new team. Our last stretch of the race and we wanted to finish strong.

First, I want to introduce you to the team I got to spend the last three months of the race with.

We named our team “Tetelestai” The Greek definition for it is “It is finished” We chose this name as we were on our last stretch to the finish line of the eleventh month of the world race and we wanted to remember that we can work from the finish line as Jesus last words for us on the cross was It is finished. He did everything for us, all we have to do is be obedient to him. We wanted to keep it in our minds to finish strong.

We came to our ministry site with no expectations. We wanted to have open hearts so that the Lord could work freely in us. I was so excited as our ministry was cleaning, washing dishes, (as a woman’s conference was being held there during our first week) yard work, cleaning out storage rooms, sorting clothes for baby boxes. As a lot of you know I love to clean, but my favorite thing to do was intercessory prayer. Every day my sister in Christ and I would pray, using our gift for the lord. I did not know I had that gift until my sisters brought it up to me. I love using my gifts for the Lords glory.

Every day I also kept track of how the Lord showed up to me in intimate ways by just showing me how much he loves me. It was in various ways such as through tulips, accordion, the number seven and getting lost in a city with letting the Lord guide us back! Also in a journal without lines, yellow fields of flowers, farming land and purple flowers that are planted at my brothers graveyard. As well as a teddy dog, the sun shining and me having the ability to forgive others as well as forgiving myself- the list is endless. It gave me a better picture of how faithful God is in choosing us everyday and giving me my every breathe of life.

Our host kept our spirits up as they noticed how tired we were being in our ninth month. We had a really amazing stay in Bulgaria! We felt refreshed and rejuvenated to do the last two months- going in with no other expectations but to fully trust God to lead us every day.
