India – January

As I stepped foot in Asia I was so excited. I felt so special and seen by the lord. This month was a month that I have been waiting for a long time to experience. I wanted to visit India and God blessed me by putting it on the route that he told me to sign up for.

The Ministry is another blessing as one of my heart passions is to help woman see who they are in Christ and out of that, nothing else matters.

This ministry is a beautiful organization that advocates for woman and girls.

This organization blesses countless people, and its been so encouraging to work alongside Amma ( our host and director ) and meet these women, hear about their lives, and write down their stories so they can be shared with people back in the states. Whether it was the women from the nutritional program, the entrepreneurship program, or the mothers of the girls we taught English to. These woman and girls come from all different backgrounds and religion. ( Hindu, Muslim and Christian) The organization has no religious requirements for participating members. The organization strives to help whoever they can.

That to me was so profound to know that there is no religious requirements. Daily,  Amma puts her life at risk for the sake of Jesus Christ. Amma is walking as Jesus walked. Jesus ministered to everyone as well. He did not cut out anyone.

It made me ask myself the question. Do I have any limits or restrictions of who to build a relationship with if it is for the glory of God?

With this ministry being open to all religions there are no bible studies, or discipleship programs or church partnerships.

It is being the hands and feet for Jesus.

So ministry was sitting down listening to woman’s fears of their dowry savings for their daughters and as I listened I liked to silently pray over them. It was teaching English as well as playing games with school age girls. It was going into villages making them aware of human trafficking.

So we would not “preach” the gospel verbally but just through our acts of love. We didn’t hide it of course, when asked genuinely then we share. But that comes through relationship.

We are called to plant seeds and this month it was planting seeds through our actions. The rest is up to God.

It was an amazing experience to see Muslim, Hindu and Christian woman come together acknowledging each other as friends and caring for each other and not let religion get in the way. God is on the move and someday an amazing thing will happen because of this. God will not let it be in vain as he sees us as the apple of his eye. Psalm 17:8
