I believe in you.
Those words carry so much depth. How often do we hear those words? Well my teammate told me I believe in you and I ran with it. I did something I never did before. I ran my first 5k. I never enjoyed running. It was not only focused on running rather it was quality time spent together. It built our relationship. That is why I loved it so much! In the morning when we would go running we would talk about our lives, share what we are going through and encourage each other.
So my first 5k I ran was in Gaborone Botswana. It was in AFRICA! My teammate Mantha ran with me. She encouraged me all along the way, soon there were also other people passing by and saying how well we are doing. That really opened up my eyes to also use this as an opportunity to encourage others outside of my team. So we decided to join the 5k again in two weeks. Taking this opportunity to encourage people and plant small Jesus seeds that way.
So my friend Ponty and her Husband (whom we met two evenings before) joined us in the 5k. It totally was a God moment as I got to listen to Ponty testimony and her struggles and pray for her. Ponty said she is so encouraged as this is what she was longing for in her heart. She needed to hear the words I believe in you. It encouraged her to go on walks in the morning and spend time with the lord that way. Sometimes people only need to hear four words. It is very simple if we keep it that way.
Hebrews 10:24 says…
“Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works.”

This is my first 5k!!!

My friend Ponty.
