To all my family and friends,

I am in the Dominican Republic. This month is all squad month, so we are all staying at the same place, which is at Hope Mountain (hope4drnow.org). This is such a beautiful place tp stay. The hosts are truly amazing. Learning how to walk as Jesus walked. Living out and being obedient to the vision and dream God has called on their lives. They are in need of financial support of some of the projects that need to be done. If you feel lead to share with them, go to the bone line and donate any amount.
The past 11 days have been amazing, it seems much longer than that through. We have beds to sleep in. We are truly blessed by having bathrooms and shower! And, sometimes taking a splash in the pool to relax yourself after your labor. Or visit with a friend.

Ministry here is so much fun, or should I say, it brings so much joy! Daily, I’m reminded that “Life is Ministry, and Ministry is Life.”

So the first few days we were able to get assignments from our host due to illness in the family. However, we were able to do campus clean-up and campus prayer walks and also with that we did worship and intercessory prayer with our squad. Prayer is such a powerful thing. We prayed for rain and it rained. For is so good all the time. He works in so many ways. In the small details how He works in each of us as we bring our gifts to the table it makes such a beautiful bouquet.

Ministry has been really great. WE work together as teams helping with housekeeping, admin., community outreach, and campus clean-up. We rotate every day by team. So as all of you know housekeeping is my very comfortable place it consists of doing laundry, cleaning the bedrooms and bathrooms, and washing the dishes after meals. I really love it. Also helping with campus clean-up varies a lot. So, when I helped we picked up trash and got grounds ready to seed grass also making steps along the path to make it easier to walk on the path through the jungle. And community outreach is so much fun to get to know people in the community and building relationships. Our team did it on Tuesday and on Tuesdays they have women’s club. So in the morning, we went to the basketball court and played with a few children. Just loving on them. In the afternoon, we went to the women’s club where Alexa shared about how beautiful and valued we are regardless of fall the mess we are in or what happened to us or what people say or think about is. God loves us the way we are, every detail about us. Truly God is so good.

Yesterday was also a day I really enjoyed. It was Sunday, it didn’t feel like a regular Sunday at home, but it was great. Since this is squad month, not all of us could go with the host to church, so the rest of us had a choice to join intercessory prayer or community outreach. I chose community outreach; a few of us went to the basketball court where we played games with the children in the morning. In the afternoon, we went to visit two ladies, one of them makes the best tea (Debbie). It’s so good. The other lady, Maria, always makes us sweet coffee. I love to visit them even though I don’t understand Spanish, my team is so gracious to me and translates words for me. So, with that, I am trying to learn Spanish. At least the few basic words. I really appreciate this culture, they are so friendly. They serve us so well. I can learn so much about hospitality from them.

People, thank you so much for all your support so I can experience this. I love you all. Blessings!

Please continue to pray for me to be open and obedient to what God calls me to do.
Please continue to pray for our team Decided as we are getting to know each other better and to stay strong in the Lord.
Also, pray for our squad as we continue to work together in building community and unity.
Pray for our host that God would bless them so much in the ways they bless us. It’s amazing. Pray for their health.
