We made it to Guatemala, after a very long travel day and being up for almost 40 hours straight, we are in Chimaltinango!
Once we landed in Guatemala City 53 of us loaded onto a chicken bus (fancy name for an old school bus) with all of our stuff for a 2 hour ride.
Saturday we learned how to teach English. It was also Independence Day in Guatemala, there were lots of parades and celebrations. We got to throw bags of water at people running down the street with torches (no one seems to know why they run down the street or throw water at them) and we tried very hard to dodge the bags filled with pee…
Also thought I would introduce “lil Sebastian
So far Guatemala is awesome 🙂 we find out what ministry we will be doing tomorrow, I cannot wait!
