Friends, family, anyone and everyone reading this, I am so excited that you found your way to my blog! It is so weird to say I have a blog. Don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with talking, but it is kind of a scary thing to be vulnerable with so many people. Lately, the Lord has really shown me how rewarding it is to be vulnerable and real with those around you. So, please, give me grace as you read my blogs because they are a jumbled mess just like my thoughts!

I have some exciting news to share with you all that I’ve been waiting to tell you for a couple months. I have decided to go on a mission trip this summer to Thailand and Cambodia! During the months of June and July I will be doing an assortment of things such as: teaching English, working in orphanages, ministering in red-light districts, and so much more. God has led me to this trip and I am beyond ecstatic to go. I feel so incredibly blessed that I have this amazing opportunity.

I have such a deep passion for missions and reaching out to those who may not know just how amazing their Creator is. I have often fallen in to the mindset that we must go on a mission trip somewhere else to be considered a missionary, but it isn’t true. God meets us right where WE are at. He is all around us, it is simply looking for Him. Even in my day to day life I am searching for Him. I have often struggled with keeping my head down and just trying to “get through” when I need to look up and realize God has placed me right where I’m at for a purpose, whether I’m at home or in Southeast Asia. It’s about growing where you are planted, not choosing where to be planted. Dare to grow in faith, and continue to trust His plan.

To help me on my newest journey, I would greatly appreciate any prayers. I am also in need of raising funds for my mission. If you feel led to donate, you can do so by clicking the donate button at the top of my blog page. Adventures in Missions is a nonprofit organization so all donations are non-refundable, and all proceeds go directly to me. I encourage you to please reach out with any questions or words of support!
