My awesome people-
Background: When I initially came on the race, I was told multiple times that I had a prophetic voice. That sounded like a strange and mysterious term to me and I wasn’t sure exactly what it meant. Does it mean I can predict the future? I rode wrote it off as another radical Christian trait that people used to abuse their power as a believer.
Over time, during feedback (every day we do feedback for the team where we encourage them/inform them on things they can change) I kept being told the same thing, I had a prophetic voice. I was also told I was prophetic when I prayed.
When I began to actually embrace this culture and become more open minded to it, I also began to become curious about this “prophetic voice” I supposedly had.
When I stopped looking and comparing myself to people and began to ask for it from the Lord, I began to understand what it was and that I’ve had it all along.
The people around me were simply revealing something I always possessed. God has been confirming this over and over again and it is truly exciting.
This now makes sense that I possess this gift.
Like any gift it is not an obvious form, I don’t see the future and I can’t tell people the job they are going to possess in the future but it is simply a feeling.
It has been truly cool because the spirit will reveal things to me about times to come and gifts people possess they were unaware of. Also, when change occurs it does not surprise me because somehow I knew it was coming but I wouldn’t have been able to pin point if someone had asked me a couple months ago.
When I first entered the race, I made the mistake of assuming gifts only come in the form of “weird” Christian stuff like prophecy, healing and speaking in tongues. Although these are very real gifts, they are not the only ones in existence.
My people you might not believe in radical things and be a realist like I was, but just because you do not see them happening around you does not mean they are not possible. Spirit gifts are real.
Speaking in tongues does happen today, it wasn’t reserved for the bible.
Healing is radical and miraculous and was meant to be utilized today even amongst a culture of medicine and doctors.
I think these gifts exist, I think the problem is that we don’t acknowledge them. In a super independent culture, we don’t realize our need for them. It is not magic. It is not evil. It is real. It happens today.
I am prophetic. I have the gift of inclusion. I have the gift of discernment. I have the gift of encouragement.

May you discover your gifts today because in doing so; you realize this life isn’t black and white.
