Hello my people! Did you watch the video? If not, I encourage you to.

This is the world we live in. Those who are trapped are facing the devil on a daily basis. Those who aren't trapped in it (drugs, drinking, sex),  in an innocent and naive way, want to experience it. Why? Because, until you become trapped within the "culture" you feel like an outsider. An outsider isn't cool. An outsider doesn't fit in.

If only they knew.

I see this in my kids (Young Life & at school). They desire to be a part of something, even if it kills their souls and strips them of their values. I see this in my friends. I see this in myself.

I used to be a "party" girl. I was stuck. I got out just to to find myself lonely and wanting back in.

A year later, after constantly fighting God but finally deciding to try it his way. I finally saw my life for what it was before I let his love in and admitted I needed him, a TRAP. I tried to be free by "rebelling" and "doing what I wanted." I thought I was in control.

We are in a battlefield. Open your eyes and look around. Your brothers and sisters are fighting against a force bigger than themselves. Before you label them a hopeless cause, understand their sin is a prison and the guard is standing on the other side with a key.

"For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." -Ephesians 6:12

As student teaching continues, I am becoming increasingly aware of the desperate need every soul has for the gospel. Sadly, this same gospel is viewed interchangeably with the very one preached on TV, advertised on every corner, and breathed through our government laws. This popular gospel is void of life. Void of joy. Void of love

My friends, there is a battle cry coming from every soul. I am convicted every time I look in the mirror. We possess freedom. Some of you are trapped. Some of you see your friends and family suffocating.

Reality check: our world is suffering. Real talk: we have something so BEAUTIFUL and BRIGHT, no darkness can overcome. Start fighting.

Your sister,
Ellie
