Welcome to month 8 of ministry! This month all of M and N squads are working with the Anglican Diocese of Uganda. Each of the 15 (I think) teams are spread out throughout the country; no teams are together. At the end of this month, however, all 103 of us will join together to help work a youth conference in Kampala for a week.

This month is a very new month for me and Holly, as we have joined team Imago Dei and said goodbye to our teammates of Radiance. So as I enter into my final month of Africa there are some adjustments. For the past 7 months I have been part of the original all-women team. Now with a married couple and another guy, well, things are a bit different. To start, we don’t all get put in the same room, when it gets hot you can’t have the liberty of lightening your clothing, and it’s just a different environment all together. I will say that is more rounded now. God is doing great things and I’m excited to see what will come of being placed on a new team.

As the months go by I will be able to look back at the first 7 months and see the lessons I have learned from my team; lessons that come from both good and hard times. A new team brings new lessons. I have new people around me to challenge me in ways the others couldn’t. We all bring something different to the body of Christ, spiritually and in our daily lives as we do our best to meld the two together.

I don’t know what the remaining 3.5 months will bring, but I am relying on the Lord to work in the awesome ways He does so well. Pray for me and my new team as we finish up our last few weeks on this continent. May God bind the 7 of us together so that we may move, speak, and function in a way that honors Him.
