We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I’m expecting…
I EXPECT:
I EXPECT to never be the same again.
I EXPECT to be broken down and to be built up in Jesus.
I EXPECT that I will have a new family there and after.
I EXPECT to be romanced by God beyond imagination.
I EXPECT to get frustrated.
I EXPECT to get angry.
I EXPECT to cry often (and I’m not a crier).
I EXPECT to fall in love with new countries, towns, and people.
I EXPECT to feel heartbreak at the end of every month.
I EXPECT to have the most amazing year of my life.
I EXPECT to be challenged beyond what I can handle; to have to rely on God’s strength.
I EXPECT the biggest reality check of my life.
I EXPECT to feel love towards God’s children like never before.
I EXPECT happiness.
I EXPECT to make lasting friendships.
I EXPECT to miss home, but know that I am where I am meant to be.
I EXPECT to be tired.
I EXPECT to have the most amazing adrenaline rushes.
I EXPECT to get sick.
I EXPECT satan to try to attack my spirit.
I EXPECT to dive so deep into the Bible I get lost in His love.
I EXPECT adventure.
I EXPECT the unexpected.
