There is power in every decision, so choose wisely. Proverbs is rich in wisdom and knowledge for daily living. At the end of the day, it’s up to us to choose obedience and fruitfulness or deceit and destruction. When following Christ, the blessed choice is always the best choice.
Wise choices lead to favor with the Lord and others, to peace in every situation and circumstance, to eternal blessing beyond measure, and to our earthly as well as eterna protection.
I can choose to press the big red button and say that was easy. But I have to set the button aside and deal with life’s details. God has lovingly shown me that choosing foolishly leads to ruin, destruction, and unrest in every part of life. By His grace I am blessed to see the blueprint He’s laid out for me through witnesses of His wisdom, glory, and power. A truthful witness is able to lead others into the light rather than leading them astray into this dark world’s devices. I saw that the first step to conquering this fleetingly deceitful world is to truly know and accept God through Jesus. With that comes reverence and fear of the Lord.
What is the outcome of my decisions?
Should I go to college, do more mission work, work at camp, get a job…
I’ve found security and refuge in godly wisdom that I had no way of obtaining before God started radically changing my life for His glory. Every decision will ultimate lead you to a choice between godliness, righteousness, and truth, or wickedness, immorality, and deceit. Choosing into the lord, and choosing into challenge.
