About a month ago my team decided to do a secret sister (santa) gift exchange with our team leader Alyssa. We chose to do this because she is leaving us at the end of Peru and will miss Christmas with us and we wanted her to be a part of it. We drew names out of a Abby’s really smelly sock and for the most part kept it a secret till the exchange. This girl on my team Mack over the last month was struggling with what to get her person and was not given enough direction. One night a couple weeks ago she came in to breakfast literally jumping saying that God gave her a dream about what to get her person exactly. Around came the day and I opened up my gift and saw Mack’s note that read;
“Ella Bella,
I know you have really been missing having a “white Christmas” so I’m bringing it to you. (that’s why everything in here is almost white) I love you sooo much! Im so so so glad that we are on the same team, it has been a privilege seeing you grow into the woman that Christ has created you to be.
Mack”
When I read this I instantly bursted into tears and my whole body got warm and I knew this gift was truly from the Lord. All I’ve wanted was snow and she brought a little bit of white to me. As well as a light up christmas tree!!! It is the cutest/best thing ever (! And you can hang it!!!)
This gesture truly reminded me that God sees our desires and struggles and knows just what we need, when we need it. All we need to do is rest in Him and know that his timing is perfect,
