On Wednesday our team had the blessing of putting in a new stove for a family. This family was the family of one of my blogs a couple weeks ago about Rosa.
It was so amazing and the day was filled with lots of emotions and love.
This was a true blessing from God that this family in their time of need, got a new stove. This wasn’t just a new stove, but it includes better health because of the lack of smoke and lots of tortilla making!
The part that really touched me the most wasn’t just to see their joy. It was that despite having little to give away, as soon as the fire was started, Rosa instantly began to cook for us and make tortillas and beans for all. It reminded me of the woman in the bible who was healed by Jesus and then instantly began to serve and wait on him.
“He left the meeting place and went to Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was running a high fever and they asked him to do something for her. He stood over her, told the fever to leave—and it left. Before they knew it, she was up getting dinner for them.”
??Luke? ?4:38-39? ?MSG??
This showed me that when we get blessings, they are not for us to keep for our selfs, but that God gives us gifts to learn how to use and then give back and share with those around us.
