Hola family & friends, here is a little week in review of this past week plus some cute memories captured on camera!

Martes11/5

We were introduced to our ministry for the week, La Mesa Del Reino. They are a nonprofit Christian organization, made up of people willing to invest time, resources and talents, who serve God through people with disabilities, causing an impact on their families, communities and churches. We met the lovely people that serve & run the ministry and got to plan out the rest of the week. They asked some of us to help them organize their craft closet. I spend too much time on Pinterest looking at before & after pictures of closet organizations (I’m basically a professional) so I enjoyed this a lot.

Miércoles11/6

Is it really a ministry week if you didn’t do some physical labor? Haha jk. We sanded walls and moved the rocks from the garden so the dirt can be ready for planting. We finished early and our lovely ministry wanted to show us around Lima’s beach side. We got to walk around enjoying the view and sounds of the big waves crashing onto shore.

Jueves11/7

We sanded, chipped & painted walls. Some days of ministry can consist of organization, building relationships or painting walls. I’m grateful for the more relaxed days.

Viernes11/8

By far my favortie day of the week! Coming into this week I came with a lot of nerves & uncertainty. I never had experience working with people with special needs. I was worried I was going to mess up or unintentionally offend someone. The Lord showed me to throw out the nerves, doubts and uncertainty. The Lord brought me so much comfort this day. I felt an overwhelming peace and was excited to play some soccer with a local special needs team here in Lima .

Sábado11/9

Today consisted of a lot of singing, dancing and playing games. We also did a skit of what the true meaning of Christmas is.

Domingo11/10

We went to church, specifically an hearing impaired/deaf church. It was crazy awesome to see the multiple ways to worship the Lord. We worshiped in Spanish, English and Sign Language that Sunday. God is so good, and is SO worthy of every praise!

That was one of the best weeks of ministry! God shows me something new each week (heck sometimes everyday). I am amazed each day how well HE knows me and LOVES me so specifically. More posts coming soon!!!

All the love, Ella.
