Okay updates y’all. I’m going to keep this short but sweet because this coffee shop WiFi isn’t the best and my pals & I are off to our next adventure. It’s crazy to think of all the emotional, physical and spiritual preparation put into this and now it has finally come all together.
It has been only 7 days in Quito and my heart has been so full. This pass week I have been able to see that GOD GIVES you so much STRENGTH. Two years ago I was thinking I would never have the courage to go to another continent and serve but the Lord gives you what you NEED in HIS timing not what you WANT in YOUR timing.
This pass week has been more of a relaxed week of ministry. The first couple of days we have been working with our ministry host Inca Link and helping around the house (painting & sanding walls, bleaching moldy showers, and watering plants). We have been adjusting to the different altitude (alti-tooties are a real thing peeps) and trying to keep that oxygen flowing to our brains y’all. After a couple of days of freshening up the house we headed over to one of the ministries we will be working with this month, Pan de Vida. We helped paint walls, deep clean the kitchen and pull the weeds off the busy streets of Quito (also a lot of dancing in between). Pan de Vida helps gather the resources needed to help the less fortunate people in Ecuador to come to a personal relationship with Jesus. Their mission is to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet the immediate needs of the less fortunate in Ecuador in cooperation with other organizations by providing: hunger relief, education, health, shelter, microbusiness, and emergency relief. Wow, crazy good first week I can’t wait to see what serving looks like next week. Adiós for now!
