I was standing in the Goodwill checkout line with my conservative dress I had been searching for for the World Race. My mom called and the first thing she said was “pack your bags.” I couldn’t believe what she was saying because it was 1 day before my squad was meeting for the World Race and I was still $1,400 short of what I needed to leave. In my mind I was just packing in case something crazy happened, and it did! Rod and Nikki Link may not want me to say anything, but they paid the last $1,400 I needed to leave the country! And now I’m sitting in the airport less than 24 hours after I cried in the Goodwill checkout line with my sister, a slobbering mess, waiting for my flight to Georgia. I’ve got way too much stuff in my pack, I didn’t download any games for the flight, and I am so completely excited and terrified that I can’t even drink my coffee. (If you knew me at all then you’d know that I like my coffee…) I can’t wait to share my adventure with you! Thank you to all who have supported me the last few months, I can never repay you all! So this is Elizabeth, signing off from Gate 6 in Springfield Missouri.
