Hello! I come from a big family, 2 sisters and 3 bothers. We have lived in the same little house ever since I was 3. My parents were both Marines before they became pastors. My two oldest brothers went on to serve in the military. The oldest, Timothy, is currently church planting in Nebraska, my second oldest brother, Stephan, is a published author and in the Reserves, and my third older brother, David, is a computer genius. My older sister, Kathleen, works to restore families and my little sister, Susannah, is about to get married!
As a Pastry Chef, I have spent the first few years of my adult life climbing the kitchen ladder. It didn’t seem to matter what I did, I just never felt like I was living God’s plan for my life. After volunteering all of my free time to the church and starting a second degree in Church Ministries God finally showed me what He had in mind all along. So I am leaving it all behind to cross the world for Jesus. I’ve always felt bad for making beautiful pastries when others are dying of starvation without knowing the saving grace of God. So now I am going to tell those who have never heard, what joy and security Jesus brings.
Throughout the first few months of my race, God has opened my eyes to see a glimpse of what he has in store for my future. Sometimes it’s just a word, but other times its the name of a country! I got to work closely with the owners of a new coffee shop in Cambodia and have tons of ideas for post-race life. I am acknowledging the gifts God has given me like Culinary Arts and Business. The cafe’s and restaurants that employ at risk women and children inspire me and I would like to work closely with that in the future.
Please pray for me, my team the Sour Patch Kids, and all of the 11 countries we have and will be visiting! Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Bosnia, Kosovo, Romania, Zambia, Lesotho, and South Africa!
