Sometimes ministry in Ukraine looks like…

  • Asking the Lord to lead you around the city of Brasov and ministering to the people of that city
  • Pushing grocery carts around a “Costco” for your ministry host
  • Feeding and cleaning up after 40 people for a weekend
  • Deep cleaning the Christian camp that we’re staying at
  • Singing and dancing during kids club
  • Belaying children on a ropes course
  • Helping out at the Christian school’s fall festival
  • Playing cards with local pastors
  • Being reading buddies for kids learning English
  • Putting on dinner and a movie night for the shelter kids
  • Preaching about kind words and chocolate cake to elementary age students
  • Teaching Sunday school to shelter kids
  • Bringing food to kids affected by Chornobyl
  • Teaching local village girls how to sew
  • Trying to keep up with 4th graders as they rock out to Just Dance
  • Babysitting for your ministry hosts so that they’re able to buy furniture for the kids they’re adopting!!
  • Cleaning dishes, furniture and clothes for a local missionary family whose house burned down
  • Sharing testimonies about joy and depression at sewing camp
  • Playing badminton with shelter kids
  • Painting the cabins that campers stay in
  • Relieving foster parents of their duties so that they’re able to relax and refill
  • Playing board games with families going through tragedy
  • Playing tag with elementary age kids

We’ve arrived in Los Andes, Chile! As you can tell, our month in Ukraine was AMAZING! Leaving was definitely the hardest part. We built really great relationships with a lot of the people there. I can’t even begin to describe how blessed I feel that I had the opportunity to be a part of Jeremiah’s Hope’s ministry. I never would have expected to fall in love with Ukraine as much as I did. Until next time, Kolentsi!
